JSC "Zhabinka Sugar Plant" is located in the town of Zhabinka, Brest region, 30 km north-east of Brest.

The city is located in a picturesque area on the banks of the border river Mukhavets at the very threshold of Belovezhskaya Pushcha - the national pride of two peoples, Belarusian and Polish.

City of Zhabinka:

  • district center in the Brest region; population 12.8 thousand people;
  • located at the confluence of the river. Zhabinka in the river. Mukhavets;
  • is a major railway junction with directions to Brest, Baranovichi
  • connected by road with the cities of Kobrin, Brest, Kamenets.

Three silver stripes in the image of the coat of arms symbolize the mouth of the Zhabinka River at its confluence with the Mukhavets River. Images of flowers of the frog plant indicate the name of the Zhabinka river, from which the city was named. The number of flowers speaks of three Zhabinki: a manor, a village and a railway station.

The official founding year of the city is 1871. In the middle of the 19th century, Zhabinka maentak became the property of the Trembitsky family. The stubborn landowner Adolf Trembitsky did not allow the authorities to build a railway through his possessions. I had to take it aside. Nevertheless, the appearance of the station gave impetus to the development of Zhabinka.

In 1905, to meet economic and military needs, the Kamenets-Fedkovichi highway was built through Zhabinka.

According to the Riga Peace Treaty of 1921, Zhabinka was ceded to Poland as part of the Polessky Voivodeship. Since 1939, Zhabinka became part of the BSSR, since January 15, 1940, it became the center of the Zhabinka district of the Brest region.

The modern city is developing in a southeast direction along the railway.

In the central part of the city there is the Church of the Intercession (XIX century).
